Ha! These GoPro HD video cams rule! Here is a very short clip of my first day with the cam. More to come. Editing takes a long time and I now respect the skill even more!!

See you on the water!

GoPro HD camera side mounted on the helmet. Not recommended after two days of neck pain... I will be switching the mount to the forehead area of the helmet. :D

yeah mon!!!! dig it!!! i too have had a sore neck from my forhead mount but that was from dragging the camera on the roof of way too many barrels.
i have my camera mounted to a gath "gedi" and while i am not wild about how the gaths look on my fat head or others around me. im very pleased at how little
resistance they have when it penetrates the water rather than ssmacking it . it is also very lite. thus much less soreness and fatigue, i hardly know its there.

upgrading to gopro wide hd asap

i hit my shutter button every few minutes to seperate the files into smaller segments.
i eye check every few minutes to make sure im not fogged, and that im recording.
i let my camrera sit open in the sun to heat up and tuck a bit of tissue in the back to reduce fogging, maybe its the tropical conditions as ive only used the gopro in the carribean.
i havnt tried making little dessicant packs and tuck them in.
it doesnt seem to do the wave size any justice ..... so i dont suggest filming intimate porn as it might do the same thing to your pecker. and they say the camera adds at least ten pounds.....

kite porn and i swear it is much bigger than it looks ....

I hear you on the wave size issue. When I first saw the footage I was like, "wow - I'm killing those knee high toilet curls". I might try to mount the cam on my harness under the spreader bar so that it's a little closer to the board and waves. This is a work in progress for sure. I'll take your advice on the tissue in the case. Over and out...

good call on the tissue - I found mine got fogged after trying to get some shots surfing (helmut and gopro not that hydrodynamic paddling out)

the moisture hung around for a few more shoots sadly (one snowkiting in Idaho)

Nice videos!

SDC,

Love your style! Smooth and fluid. With the skimmer too.

That board you're riding looks pretty short, what are the specs on it??

Thanks man,
DC
